You need to find a balance between work and personal life. If your relationship is important to you, make time for it.

Even if that means setting aside some of the other things in your life that matter less.

It’s also important that both partners feel like they’re getting enough attention from each other.

So make sure that if one person is busier than the other (or has another commitment), they don’t feel like their partner isn’t giving them enough time or attention!

Your relationship should not suffer because of work or other obligations.

If you want a healthy relationship then always be ready to sacrifice intentionally, with mutual respect and commitment

There are a lot of factors that make a relationship a healthy one that is devoid of toxicity and bitterness.

And in achieving one you must be relentless to make it work.

Because having a healthy relationship takes a lot of hard work.

It’s just like fighting for what you want in other to enjoy the benefits later.

3. Determine your core values and goals together, and be open about them with one another

In order to maintain a healthy relationship, you and your partner must be honest with each other.

You should both be able to communicate openly about what is important to each of you and respect the other person’s opinions and goals.

For example, if one of your core values is having children while the other does not want them at all, then this could cause problems down the road.

You also need to make sure that both parties are on the same page when it comes to goals or plans for the future (for example: buying a house together).

4. Make time for fun things like date nights and random activities that bring you closer together

Date nights are important, but they don’t have to be a big production.

Go out for dinner at your favorite restaurant or catch a movie together. Try something new and find something you both enjoy doing together.

It could be anything from ice skating to hiking, going bowling, or even just staying in and watching Netflix!

Don’t forget that fun doesn’t always have to cost money; sometimes it’s just about finding time for each other even if that means doing nothing more than laughing over silly things in life.

You cannot give what you don’t have in a relationship that is; the level by which you’ll enjoy your relationship is based on how much value you put into it.

So you must always give access to develop yourself day in and day out.

It takes time to build trust and it can be hard to build trust with your partner if your trust has been shattered in time past.

Although some people generally have trust issues, they find it difficult to trust their partner.

If you want a healthy relationship, then this should not be your case.

Here are a few steps to building trust;

One of the things that help to maintain a relationship is loving your partner the exact way they want to be loved.

When you do this, it makes it easier for love to grow between the both of you.

We have five major types of love language and they are as follows

Acts of service

Physical touch

Quality time

Words of affirmation

Giving of gifts

Kindly ask them what their love language is and try your best to satisfy them with it.

9. Learn To Comprise

Trust me, sometimes, you’ll have to comprise if you truly want a healthy relationship.

This doesn’t necessarily mean going against your policies or values systems but it means sometimes, doing something you probably never thought of doing.

For instance, if you always go to bed by 9pm every day and it has become a routine for you.

Imagine being in a relationship with someone whose only spare time to communicate with you is 9pm; of course, you’ll have to sacrifice that time for them in order to communicate.

So, sometimes inability to comprise may mean selfishness and, you don’t want that to happen to your relationship.

You must be able to take care of yourself before you can take care of others, and this includes having a strong sense of self.

The key is making sure that both people feel heard, understood, and respected by one another as well as in their relationship.
