Citrus fruits such as lemon, lime, oranges and grapefruits have a good amount of vitamins and minerals that the body requires.

They’re a good source of vitamin C, and vitamin C plays a tremendous role in enabling to boost our immune system.

Vitamin C also functions as an antioxidant that terminates the chain reaction that may damage cells and organism ( Wikipedia).

Citrus fruits are flavoured fruits, the juice can be extracted to add additional flavour to our foods.

Taking two oranges on a daily basis alone is enough for the daily recommended intake of vitamin C.

This means the daily recommended amount of vitamin C can be found in the consumption of single papaya.

I would recommend that; the consumption of these foods shouldn’t be restricted to one particular food.

There should be a mixed up of different types in other to get all the amazing benefits, that are essential for a strong and healthy immune system.

Then if you feel you’re still not meeting up to the daily recommended amount of vitamin C. Vitamin C supplement could also be added.

But if the recommended amount is met, there shouldn’t be any need for a supplement.
